I was extremely nervous.
It was a completely new journey for me, but I am honestly loving it! I am still very much a beginner, but I have come to the realization that I don’t have to compare myself to anyone else as long as I am making progress.
Progress for me looks like gradual improvements in form, confidence, strength, and mobility. I have definitely seen some of that since I started in April. Also, probably my biggest goal that I want from CrossFit is an improvement in my posture and a decrease or elimination of chronic pain in my neck, back, shoulders, and arms. Throughout my time at Rhema so far, I have learned several different therapy exercises and stretches that I can do to help with this, and when I am consistent it works!
While I am not as consistent as I’d like to be, both in attending classes and doing therapy on my own, I have still experienced growth and improvement and I am truly grateful for that! I love the environment, the community of amazing people, and the knowledgeable and encouraging coaches at Rhema.
I am thankful for everything I have learned so far and for all the people I have met. I can’t wait to see how far I can go and how much better I can feel!

I have been a member of CrossFit Rhema for almost a year now.
CrossFit was something that I never saw myself doing as I have never considered myself to be a good athlete. I had a preconceived notion that you had to be a body builder or a tip top athlete in order to be a “CrossFitter,” but I couldn’t have been more wrong.
There is something for each and every person at Rhema, whether you’re just beginning your fitness journey or a seasoned athlete. Party is brand new to CrossFit coaching, and she brings that enthusiasm with her to every
coaching session! She got her Level 1 certification this past May after being an active Rhema
member for the past six years. She has been married to her husband Andy for fourteen years
and is a supportive swim and cheer mom to Marshall (13) and Chloe (11). Her favorite thing
about coaching is showing people who think they “can’t do it” that they absolutely can!!!

My CrossFit journey started in July of 2016. Since then I have fallen in love with the sport and
methodology. What I love the most about CrossFit is the constantly varied movements, and how
it can be tailored to meet members where they are at. As a coach I want to be able to pour into

step at a time.

Nicole grew up with a passion for being active and outside. This passion led her to work as an
outdoor guide where she fell in love with helping people overcome fear and self-doubt and
discover the fun, freedom and confidence that comes with challenging yourself. She became a
licensed PTA and trainer so she could give people the physical stepping stones to feel capable
of a challenge and engage their lives in new fulfilling ways.

Kenny Norris

I’m Kenny Norris and I’m soon tobe 70! My entire life I have enjoyed playing basketball, football,
running and other activities competitive in nature. When my kids were young I always stayed
involved coaching basketball, baseball and other kids’ youth teams. When my kids got older I
got away from physical activity and saw my health be negatively impacted. I joined Crossfit
Rhema around 6 years ago and started crawling. I found my health has improved greatly and I
became a certified CF1 trainer several years ago. This journey has improved my health,
mobility, strength and has allowed me to coach my grandkids’ sports teams! Being active is so
important at any age, but I truly believe that the greatest medicine is exercise. No matter what
stage of life you’re in or illness you are facing, any level of activity is extremely important. If you
want to start crawling and have a community that supports you, CrossFit Rhema is the best
place to be!
